A Few Words About Chapter Events
Chapter and H.0.G.® events / activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.0.G.® members. There are three categories of events / activities as identified below and all Freedom Chapter events / activities are categorized as such:
- Closed (C) events are those Chapter events which are open to Chapter members and one guest per member.
- Member (M) events are events that are open only to H.0.G.® members.
- Open (O) events are those Chapter events which are open to Chapter members, national H.0.G.® members and other guests as desired.
- Events (*) listed above, which are ear-marked with an asterisk (*), typically require action / attention prior to the event (as indicated in the Notes section of any given month’s calendar).
Chapter Rides
Riding with your fellow Chapter members is one of the most enjoyable aspects of Chapter life. What better way to share your passion for riding than in the company of like minded individuals? These rides are led by one or more of the Chapter Road Captains, with a focus on both enjoyment and safety.
During the riding season, Chapter rides usually place on weekends departing from points across Ottawa, usually at 9:00 a.m. For those able to attend there are also rides offered during the week. Watch for emails and posts on our Chapter Facebook page and the website calendar (which you can link to your own calendar). Depending on the route to be taken, there may be additional pickup points planned.
Information regarding weekend, group rides or Chapter overnight trips – outside of the normal weekend rides – will be posted to the website; communicated to the membership via email or the Chapter newsletter; and/or discussed at the monthly General Meetings.
NOTE – Important information regarding ride participation
Please note that Chapter rides are typically open to non-H.0.G.® members, although in order to participate those individuals will be required to sign a release from the ride’s Road Captain or print a form from the link below.
Special and Overnight rides are typically restricted to members of Freedom Chapter (and a guest).
